Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child of the Oyakhilome family, and was born the 7th of December, 1973, to Tim Oyakhilome. He went to primary and secondary school, then he went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria, where he got an BSc. in Architecture.

Oyakhilome AAU also gave him an honourary Doctor of Science prize. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. The Reverend Chris was once married to Anita Obhodaghe, and they have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome delved into ministry when he was an undergraduate student at AAU. The Believers LoveWorld Fellowship (now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated) was at that time called Youths For Christ.

YFC was growing, and eventually became the largest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church has its headquarters in Lagos. Believer’s LoveWorld is now home to millions of followers and associates across the world.
