Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a household of faith, surrounded by loving and devoted parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. His brother, Reverend Ken is the highly regarded Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of world-class gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow the example of her father and share the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned a BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He is also awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to join the ministry and be an ambassador for the Lord.
