Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a family of faith with loving, dedicated parents. He is the elder of three sons who was born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace on her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Oyakhilome Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow in her father’s footsteps of sharing the Word of God with the world, also called CSO She is an accomplished gospel artist, award-winning and a part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was educated at Edo College. He then won a scholarship to study architecture in Bendel State University. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Chris Oyakhilome Ambrose Ali University was the place where he was able to feel God called him to become a minister to the Lord.

The Man Of God was a student at University when he started the church that would soon grow into one of the largest worldwide. His small prayer group, called ‘Youth for Christ’, would quickly become one of the campus’ most well-known groups. They would later go on to become LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.
