Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving parents who were devoted to their children. He is the oldest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the pioneers at the Assemblies, of God’s Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of Oyakhilome’s Oyakhilome clan, who instilled her divine grace on her son very early.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several top-selling gospel musicians.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he sensed God calling him to become a minister for the Lord.

While in the university While still in university, the Man of God started what would later be the largest congregation in the world. It began as an uninvolved group of believers known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would eventually become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers around the world.

Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming.
